Individuals
Donate, become an AVEA Supporter or become a Member
Join an alliance of veterinarians, vet nurses, animal-health specialists, industry professionals, scientists and animal-loving Australians working towards a more sustainable future.
AVEA is a registered charity, and donations of any size help fund our programs, advocacy and education. Every contribution over $2 is tax-deductible. We run on a lean team of volunteers, so every donation goes to helping us to improve our programs and get the word out.
You can give a one-off donation, or a monthly donation to become one of our Supporters.
To become a Member and have your say in AVEA’s future, Supporters are welcome to contact us. All memberships are subject to board approval. All memberships include a $50 non-deductible membership fee; the remainder is tax-deductible.
Volunteer with us
Our volunteers are behind much of what we achieve. Volunteering can take many forms — running social media, writing or sharing media stories, facilitating events, staffing a stand at a conference, educating clinics, or joining (or starting) a local group. We’ll help you find a place that fits your skills and the time you have. Get in touch to find out more.

Veterinary Practices
Join the Climate Care Program, Sustainable Equine Futures, or ZerOctober
If you work in a veterinary practice, the most direct way to take action is taking part in ZerOctober or joining one of our programs — the Climate Care Program or Sustainable Equine Futures. Our programs are self-paced and online, meaning you can help your clinic cut its environmental impact and running costs in whatever time you have available. You’ll also be leading your team and community towards more sustainable care, while joining a stimulating network of like-minded colleagues. You’ll be helping us to refine this program with your feedback, and you’ll be signalling to your clients that you take animal welfare seriously.

Member Organisations
Join a growing list of industry and environmental organisations aligned with AVEA. Add the strength of your voice to our submissions to parliament and play a role in shaping the future of AVEA.
