AVEA turns veterinary expertise into practical action for animals and the environment. We’re a registered charity, and donations over $2 are tax-deductible in Australia.
Every donation helps to fuel the programs, advocacy and education that put veterinary knowledge to work for the animals, industries and environments Australia depends on.
AVEA Support Levels
for Individuals and Philanthropists
AVEA Fairywrens (formerly Earth)
$10 per month ($120pa). Support AVEA for the cost of one cup of coffee a fortnight. Small but mighty, our Fairywren supporters demonstrate that meaningful change is not determined by size.
AVEA Penguins (formerly Water)
$25 per month ($300pa). Support AVEA for about the cost of one cup of coffee a week. Little Penguins are strong symbols of resilience and community connection.
AVEA Cockatoos (Formerly Air)
$50 per month ($600pa). Support AVEA, for about the cost of two cups of coffee a week. Cockatoos connect with others, march to the beat of their own drum, and certainly like to have their voices heard!
AVEA Eagles (formerly Fire)
$100 per month ($1200pa). Substantially support AVEA! The wedge-tailed eagle represents strength, freedom and always seeing the bigger picture.
AVEA Cassowary
$5000+pa. For philanthropists who support AVEA. The cassowary represents power and protection, long revered as a guardian of the rainforest.

Become a Constitutional Member. For those wishing to join us as a Member and have your say in AVEA’s future, Supporters are welcome to contact us. All memberships are subject to board approval. All memberships include a $50 non-deductible membership fee; the remainder is tax-deductible.
Give in your will. A love of animals can shape a lifetime. A gift in your Will to the Australian Veterinary Environmental Alliance can help that care continue into the future. After providing for the people you love, remembering AVEA is a way to help protect animals and the environments they depend on — and support the veterinary professionals working to care for them.
Leaving a gift to AVEA starts with a conversation with your solicitor or a qualified Will-writing professional. They can help you create or update your Will so it reflects your wishes and provides for your loved ones.
You may choose to leave:
- A percentage of your estate: a share of your estate, rather than a set dollar amount.
- A gift from your remaining estate: all or part of what remains after other gifts, debts and expenses have been dealt with.
- A fixed sum: a specific amount of money.

We keep our running costs lean so that giving translates directly into impact. Your support funds:
- Education — free Masterclasses and the Climate Care Program
- Advocacy — representing the veterinary perspective in government, media and policy
- Programs — in-practice, equine and in the future rural sustainability work
- Keeping the lights on — the admin, systems and people that make all of it run, from sending our newsletter to members to creating proposals for organisations we want to get involved
